On 13 August, more than 50 representatives from ITF affiliates including the MAS Employees' Union; the Transport Workers' Union; Seafarers Union; UNIPASS; Penang Port Workers' Union; and the Malaysian Airport Berhad Workers' Union gathered in front of the Iranian Embassy between 09h30 and 12h00 to deliver a protest letter from the ITF Malaysian Council. After much discussion between the delegation and the Embassy, a member of the Embassy staff was sent to receive the letter. Demanding to deliver the letter to an Embassy official, the union delegation refused to hand over the letter and sent it by registered post instead. (Email report by Zainal Rampak)
